halogen lamp or tungsten lamp are synonyms for halogen lamps.  Halogen lamps are a light bulb that
contains a little halogen in them such as bromine or iodine.  A halogen cycle is formed by the
combination of tungsten filament and halogen gas.  Re-deposition of tungsten is made on the
filament by this chemical reaction.

higher temperatures than most other standard lamps with the same life and

style.  Replace your lampshade if you

wood left over.  Arrange them in a
tripod shape so that they have a good base.

Then this idea is exactly what you need.  Get a good strong branch of the tree.  Attach it to the fixed base at an angled
manner.  Add a lamp on top of the
branch.  Wire of the lamp can be easily
hidden behind the branch.

Add a table by the
halogen lamp by the bed.  This is easy
to create.  You do not need to cut the
table so that the cord can go through. 
Glue the baluster to the table top and add the lamp and
lampshade.  Such a combination helps to
use space smarter.  This will create an
interesting halogen floor lamp.
