How to make your own funky bedside lamps

We love lamps and having a bedside lamp is just as important as any other lamp or lighting fixture in the house. But no matter how good a lamp we choose when we buy, we will get bored of them in a few months. We can also not afford to buy new in very few months. So what to do? The answers are “When can not have a new one that makes them from the old”. Here we have few ideas that can be used to make funky bedside lamps out of boring table lamps –

Remove your old lampshade from the lamp and cover it with glitter and sequins. A golden glitter is mostly suitable for all types of wall colors or wall structures. Nothing is functional but shimmers after all.

If you are not a fan of shimmer and sequins, go for stencil design. Make all the geometric shapes on paper, make a stencil out of it with cardboard. Now use these stencils to paint your lampshade with bold geometric patterns and diagrams.

Take sheet steel of the desired size. You can even get them at low prices for any hardware store. You need a machine for this and some knowledge of how to use it. If you are not sure, ask a friend to help. Make small holes in the jars in different temporary places at random. And at the bottom of the jar, a circle cuts half of the radius. If you are not a pro at it, mark or trace a circle on it at hand. Make sure it is safe and neat. When you are done with this, you will paint them in any color that suits the room. Tip here is to use blue color as it soothes the eyes and favorite of all. You may need to apply a few coats on it to get the desired look and leave it aside to dry completely. Now take a led lamp or a light bulb and hold it on your bedside table and turn the prepared jar over it. And congratz, your funky night light is ready.
