Tiffany still lamp is a type of
lamp with a glass shade.  It is so
named because the glass screen was designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany.  In addition to a glass color screen, these
lamps also have a metal base.  They are
beautiful and look great in traditional
decors.

The irregular design on the upper
and lower edge has a continuous crown edge that is made to give the effect of
a tree, a branch or a bush.  The
geometric design has geometric shapes such as rectangles, triangles, ovals as
the pattern.

The transition to floral design
group includes floral cone and globe design lamps.  The patterns used in these lamps are
natural such as flowers, spiders, dragonflies, butterflies and peacock
feathers.  The only difference between
the design is the shape of the lamp, a cone and a
globe.

The Favrile design lamps were the first
lamps from Tiffany with the Favrile brand. 
Favrile means
needlework.

MANUFACTURING 

The Tiffany-style lamp is
manufactured according to the method with copper
foil.

The pattern for the lamp is first drawn on
a heavy piece of cardboard.  A number
and glass color are written on the pattern. 
After drawing and marking the pattern, the glass is placed over it and
traced.  After the pattern has been
traced on the glass, the pieces are cut and ground to the correct shape.  The copper foil is applied to the edges
after cleaning the pieces.  The copper
foil solution attaches the pieces to each other.  When the lamp is completely bound, the
edges are soldered and cleaned to reveal its
beauty.
